Outside the patio in the garden offers the opportunity to dine al fresco or simply relax and take in the beautiful far reaching moorland views. Lovely walks in the nearby Swannacott Woods, Willow Tree Woodland Walk are 3 miles and further afield Holsworthy woods and the stunning South west coastal path a short drive away. Golfers will have the choice of several excellent courses close by offering a welcome to non members. The award winning coastal resort of Bude is approx 8 miles away and offers a choice of superb beaches and all you would expect from a leading seaside town. Widemouth Bay and the year round dog friendly beach of Black rock at the southern end also offer excellent walking and swimming opportunities. There are also a number of historic sites which are worth a visit such as the National Trust property Cotehele House, or the Victorian/Edwardian copper mine and port, Morwellham Quay.
