The winding narrow stairs, equipped with handrails, guide you up to the first floor where you'll find a generous master bedroom fitted with a king-size bed, choose between a waterfall or hand-held shower to wake you up in the morning in the luxurious bathroom. Up another set of winding narrow stairs is the twin room, which partly overlooks the sea. Grab some local delicacies from the nearby shop or stroll over to the selection of pubs and cafés, all within a short stroll of the property. Shaldon beach is located at the mouth of the River Teign where there's a variety of stunning walks and a number of watersporting activities including fishing, swimming, canoeing, sailing, and rowing. Less than a mile from the cottage is the spellbinding Homeyard's Botanical Gardens, a perfect place to experience the breath-taking views of Teignmouth and explore the castle. If you're lucky enough to secure this gem in August, you'll be able to spectate the The Annual Shaldon Regatta, a 200-year-old tradition based on the river beach along Marine Parade. Food lovers can fill up their boots at the Taste of the Teign food and drink trail, a self-guided route journeying Teign's culinary discoveries.
