For surfing tuition or hire, the popular surf school at Bigbury-on-Sea is just over the little headland. If you don't feel like cooking, you can buy fish and chips in the summer from the café or a trip to nearby Ringmore is worthwhile for an excellent meal or a pint of real ale in its friendly, characterful pub.
