The property
Settled in the bustling town of Dartmouth, Devon is this wonderful three-bedroom holiday home, Hillside. Enjoying close proximity to a wealth of much-loved sights and attractions, including Dartmouth's picture-perfect harbour and the National Trust's Greenway Estate, home of the late Agatha Christie, Hillside is the perfect base for a family of five looking to explore Devon's wonders. Upon entering the home, you'll be greeted by a hallway, which serves as a convenient place to store your beachwear and other belongings away from the main living areas. Make yourself at home in the bright and airy open-plan living area, where you'll be able to relax and unwind after a long day of exploring with a sumptuous spot on the sofa. The well-stocked kitchen is nestled away in the corner of the sociable space, and the adjacent dining table is a delightful place to savour a chilled glass of wine while the designated chef cooks up a storm. In the warmer months, carry the conversation outdoors and soak up the last of the evening sunshine with a seat in the well-kept elevated rear garden. When sleep calls, you can find a king-size bedroom and an additional single located on the first floor, with a contemporary family bathroom across the hall; pour in the bubbles and indulge in a soak before drifting off to a nights embrace. A third king-size bedroom with an innovative zip/link feature is located on the second floor, ideal for families, friends and couples sharing. A shower room and a utility complete the layout of this delightful abode, making it easy to freshen up at the end of another exciting day. There are a wide variety of restaurants and shops within a short walk of your doorstep in the centre of Dartmouth, including The Seahorse Restaurant, The Cherub Inn and Andria's, each sure to serve something to suit all tastes and budgets! If you're looking for some peace and quiet away from the bustle of town, head to Sugary Cove's secluded shingle beach and from nearby Dartmouth Castle, you can see for miles out to Sea. Visit Kingswear, a little village just a ferry trip away where you can ride the Dartmouth Steam Railway to Paignton or walk the South West Coast Path to Brixham. Woodlands Family Theme Park or Paignton Zoo are also great options for those seeking for a little adventure. Choose Hillside as your home away from home for your next staycation in Devon.
