The property

Situated at the heart of Dartmouth, Devon is Grants Cottage. This charming Grade II Listed house was previously known as Grants Courtyard and was used to stable the ponies that were used to carry the wealthy people of Dartmouth up and down 'Slippery Way' so they did not have to walk. The property has four bedrooms and can sleep eight guests making it perfect for families and friends. With a woodburning stove and private courtyard with bistro furniture, you'll be able to spend some quality time together. The house is fully-equipped for a memorable stay. It is also very dog-friendly, so you can bring the whole family and your two canine companions along on holiday with you! Head into the property after a busy day exploring the town and enter into the sitting room which is a homely place to unwind, relax on the sofas or armchairs and make use of the Smart TV to catch up on all your favourite shows while a wood-burning stove warms the room. You could also unwind in the snug, a quiet place at the back of the house, perfect for reading a book, this room overlooks the private, enclosed courtyard, which has bistro garden furniture. As the evening draws to a close travel into the spacious fully-equipped kitchen/diner where the whole family can sit down and enjoy a hearty meal. Climb the stairs to the first-floor, where a bathroom that boasts a freestanding bath with shower over awaits to wash away the day. This floor is home to two generously-sized super king bedrooms with TVs when sleep calls, and plenty of storage to house your belongings. Up on the second floor, the third and fourth bedroom are similarly furnished with super-king-size beds, TVs and storage, these rooms however both have convenient en-suite shower rooms. Grants cottage is close to a variety of local amenities as it sits on one of Dartmouth’s many cobbled streets that are lined with boutique shops. There is a stylish bar just a stone’s throw away from the house called The Sail Loft where you can indulge in evening drinks within this historical iconic building. The town is situated on the River Dart and is home to a number of attractions including Blackpool Sands, National Trust - Coleton Fishacre, Dartmouth Castle, National Trust – Greenway and Bayard's Cove Fort. You could also spend the day exploring the River Dart after hiring a boat from Dartmouth Boat Hire. In addition to these attractions, the town also boasts a number of other restaurants and bars, including Rockfish and Bayards Cove Inn. The town is also a short walk from Dartmoor National Park that is bursting with a variety of walks and trails that will keep your canine companion happy, explore this park while admiring the breath-taking views of Devon.
