Visit the 16th century Tudor fortress of Bayard's Cove Fort, along with Dartmouth Castle, which overlooks the Dart Estuary and enjoy a day at the beach on the golden sand of Sugary Cove Beach. Hire a boat to cross the river to Kingswear, where you'll find a castle, facing out towards Dartmoor Castle, as well as the National Trust's Coleton Fishacre House & Gardens, and enjoy exploring the south coast further by train with a journey along the Dartmouth Steam Railway.
