The property
Blue Horizon provides outstanding views of Brixham Harbour and Torbay from every window of the house. It is a two bedroom property set over three floors and has a fabulous balcony where you can sit at anytime and enjoy the panoramic views. Character features including exposed stone walls and timber beams - a nod to the history of this property which has been refurbished to the highest standards making it ideal for a family or for a couple wanting a romantic break. The house is approached via a flight of steep stone steps which bring you to the front patio and entrance of the cottage. You enter directly into the dining room which is the oldest part of the house furnished with traditional oak furniture to complement the oak beams and staircase. A small, modern and fully fitted kitchen leads off from the dining room where views to the harbour can be enjoyed whilst preparing meals. You enter directly into the dining room which is the oldest part of the house furnished with traditional oak furniture to complement the oak beams and staircase. An open tread staircase takes you to the first floor living room with patio doors opening onto a sunny balcony, the best position to relax and enjoy the comings and goings of the fishing boats in the harbour. Also on the first floor is a large modern family bathroom with bath and separate shower. A further staircase to the second floor reveals two lovely bedrooms both with sea and harbour views. The master bedroom is truly superb with double aspect windows looking directly over the harbour and further to Torbay. The property is very centrally located.A short walk down the steps below the property will lead you straight to the harbour and town centre of Brixham, a vibrant fishing town with cafes, restaurants and plenty of shops. By car, the property is accessed via the entrance to Overgang – a small and quiet cul-de-sac.Overgang is narrow and the dedicated parking is best accessed by reversing down and then driving directly forward into a long driveway located adjacent to Hazlewood Cottage. There is no turning space at the bottom of Overgang hence why reversing is recommended. Enjoy Breakwater beach voted one of the cleanest Blue Flag beaches on the English Riviera or walk the coastal footpath through Battery Gardens to Fishcombe Cove or further on Churston Cove, both picturesque coves ideal for kayaking or swimming and often quieter in Summer months. Take the ferry to Dartmouth or Torquay or enjoy a day trip to Greenway, the former home of Agatha Christie. A delightful cottage for families or couples to enjoy across all seasons.
