The mountain range offers the challenging rugged peaks of Hungry Hill and Sugarloaf Mountain, to the gentler but breathtaking Gleninchaquin and Rambach's Way with its deserted settlement of Cummeengeera. The area is rich in archaeological sites such as stone circles, wedge graves and other relics from the past. The rugged landscape can be enjoyed by walkers of all abilities, with the Beara Way offering routes around the peninsula with signed looped walks and coastal vistas. Places of interest are Glengarriff - with Garnish Island, The Bamboo Park, The Ewe Experience, nature reserve and cafes and restaurants. Beara Way hiking trail on the doorstep of the Caha Mountains for hill walkers.
