You can stock up the fridge/freezer and cupboards with a visit to Loughanure's local shop, or take a break from cooking and head to the pub for a delicious hot meal. Canoe or kayak on Loughanure Lake to take in your stunning surroundings in an idyllic setting, whilst avid walkers and wildlife lovers should head to Glenveagh National Park; guided trails will take you through a spectacular deer forest, lakes and the fascinating Glenveagh Castle. For a busier town, head to Donegal with plenty of supermarkets, shops, restaurants and pubs, or enjoy a spot of fishing on Dungloe lake pier. Falcarragh is a short journey north for a wander around Cluain na dTor Nursery & Gardens, pack a picnic for a day on Falcarragh beach, and visit the historical ruins of Ray Church. Known for its gothic-style St. Eunan's Cathedral, Letterkenny is a bustling town a little further north, home to the renowned Regional Cultural Centre for exhibitions, music and film, as well as Letterkenny Golf Club and a variety of restaurants.
