There is a village store situated in the neighbouring village of Welland which is one and half miles away – this stocks all basic essentials, fresh bread and pastries daily as well as serving as the local post office. Castlemorton Common starts less than half a mile away which then opens directly onto the wider expanses of the common and slopes of the Malvern Hills. The nearest town is Malvern, well worth exploring for its rich history, quaint shops, Morgan Motors and make sure you take in a show at Malvern Theatre which has productions from the West End and the Royal Shakespeare Company amongst others. The Three Counties showground, a short drive away, holds antique fairs, auctions, RHS shows and a
variety of other events throughout the year. Within striking distance of Malvern, Ledbury, Upton-upon-Severn, Ross-on-Wye, Cheltenham, Worcester, Gloucester and Hereford. The Cotswolds are also within easy reach and you could explore the main sites and villages as a day out from Mortons Cottage. Trains run from the nearby Victorian Great Malvern
