There’s a further separate sitting room for those who wish to disappear to watch the TV in peace! There’s a shower room as well as a bathroom on the ground floor, so you won’t all have to queue up in the morning. Upstairs, there’s room for your entire group, including the youngsters, and there are amazing views across the nearby farmland from the front windows. Outside, there’s half an acre of lawned garden to enjoy, whilst the well-marked Ridgeway Trail goes straight past the front fence, offering fantastic walking opportunities. The two adjacent villages of Aldbourne and Ogbourne St George have friendly pubs serving good food and real ales, and there’s a lively golf club close by, whilst the attractive market town of Marlborough has a wide range of shops, pubs and restaurants. A little further afield, but easily accessible, are the ancient stone circles of both Avebury and Stonehenge, and the Kennet and Avon canal which winds its way through the picturesque Pewsey Vale towards the regal city of Bath.
