The property

Resting in the peaceful village of Broadwell is this excellent Grade ll listed cottage, perched at the end of a short terrace that was once The Manor House in Broadwell, which is one of the most picturesque villages in the Cotswolds, housing many period properties and a friendly local pub. Shenley overlooks the large village green and is the perfect base for you and your loved ones to enjoy a trip to the Cotswolds.

Upon arrival at the cottage, pull your car into the private driveway and make your way to the main entrance of the property. You are welcomed by the well-presented stylish kitchen/diner which is complete with dining table with seating for six; perfect for socialising with your group and arranging your itinerary for your stay.

The soft furnishings and mix of contemporary and period features in the sitting area welcome you in with open arms. The oak beams, stone mullion windows and beautiful stone fireplace with woodburning stove create a homely and comforting feeling for you to snuggle up and watch a film.

A handy cloakroom completes the ground-floor.

Once you’ve taken in the stunning surroundings of the ground-floor, make your way up to the first-floor where you are graced with two charming bedrooms and the shower room. Overlooking the village green, the first bedroom is a characterful room and contains an inviting double bed. The second bedroom is accessed down two steps and contains twin antique brass beds and an ornamental fireplace.

Into the eaves of the property, you will find the third bedroom which houses a generous super-king-size bed and benefits from an en-suite bathroom with freestanding bath; make the most of it and run yourself a relaxing bath to finish off your day.

The lawned area to the front of the cottage is home to a bench and table, outlooking onto the village green. The rear of the property has a lovely courtyard area which has a table with seating for six for you to enjoy your meals alfresco.

There are plenty of places to see and visit around Broadwell. Whether you love hiking or cycling, Broadwell is a region where hidden gems are waiting to be explored and visited. One of the undiscovered beauty spots of the Cotswolds, Broadwell has it all; a broad village green surrounded by lovely Cotswold stone cottages, a gentle stream running through the village, a friendly inn - The Fox Inn, and a Norman church with some intriguing historical monuments. Broadwell is home to St Peter & St Paul’s Church which is a large medieval cruciform church, dating back to the 12th and 14 centuries.

Venture further afield to Cotswold Wildlife Park which is set across a plot of 160 acres and is one of the premier family-friendly attractions in the Cotswolds. Make your way through the park’s four distinctive sections, get up close to exotic animal species and admire the gardens.

Close by Bourton-on-the-Water, known as the ‘Venice of the Cotswolds’, is home to many attractions and straddles the River Windrush with low bridges. Here, you can discover a miniature replica of the Cotswold-stone village at The Model Village, or enjoy a scrumptious picnic surrounded by wildlife at Birdland Park & Gardens.

For an unforgettable holiday, choose Shenley as your base.
