Garden Cottage is a delightful holiday cottage located adjacent to the wonderful Shilbrook Manor, itself a listed building built around the 1860's. The property has undergone a complete overhaul and today provides a high standard of self catering accommodation whilst overlooking a simply stunning garden of two acres. The cottage is situated on the edge of the hamlet of Black Bourton, which has history dating back to 1086, and is within easy reach of popular spots such as Burford, Woodstock and Lechlade on Thames. Local attractions include Bampton's Downtown Abbey walk (2 miles away), William Morris's Kelmscott Manor (3 miles) and Jeremy Clarkson's 'The Farmer's Dog' pub (6 miles). This romantic hideaway is ideal for a couple who want to escape to the Cotswolds. The owner, who is a garden designer, is also a keen horticulturalist very happy to sell plants (when and where possible!) in addition to eggs and home made preserves.
