The property
Situated on the outskirts of the Cornish village of Chacewater, enclosed and secured behind gates and surrounded by a large lawned garden, offering pretty countryside views is Trevore Farmhouse. Located in the grounds of the owner's property this detached, reverse-level house offers spacious and welcoming accommodation for a family of five wanting to explore the city of Truro and the coast, with both of Cornwall's coastlines easily accessible from the property. Enter the gates and park on the private driveway, surrounded by the immaculate lawn garden, and step inside the property to discover three ground-floor bedrooms, each neutrally styled and offering garden views and ample storage space, consisting of a king-size double, a double and a single, ideal for a younger guest, all served by the contemporary family bathroom suite with a bath and handheld shower, as well as a a separate, large walk-in shower, plus there is an additional cloakroom with basin and WC, for added convenience. A fully-fitted kitchen/diner, decorated with neutral hues, offering a lovely dining table that can comfortably seat the whole group, beside the electric fire, to add a homely feel to the occasion, while the kitchen has plenty of space to prepare delicious home-cooked meals, along with a host of handy appliances, such as a double electric oven and American-style fridge/freezer, while the utility room houses a washing machine and room for surfboards and bicycles. The separate first floor sitting room is the social hub of the house, with two large sofas and snuggle chair to relax onto, while enjoying watching the Smart TV with Freeview, curling up with a good book beside the open fire or just admiring your countryside views. There are patio doors that open up onto a superb decked balcony, showcasing incredible rural views, while the extensive garden is the ideal place for enjoying the delightful Cornish weather, with a patio area and seating making the ideal sport for a morning coffee or afternoon aperitif, along with an additional seating area on the lawn, where you can enjoy alfresco dinners, before climbing into the private hot tub to add a luxurious end to each day during your stay. Chacewater village lies in the centre of what once was a great mining district, producing more copper and tin than anywhere else in the world, and is also very well-placed for discovering both of Cornwall's coastlines. The village is around a mile away from the property, with a selection of shops, pubs, restaurants and bakeries, as well as a village hall and a park & garden.
The Bissoe cycle trail has a cycle hire point for those who have not brought bicycles less than two miles away, The full Coast to Coast Trail is 11 miles long, but you don't have to do all of it, the trail follows tramway and railway routes used to transport ore and supplies from the mines to the ports on the coasts. The city of Truro is less than six miles away, with its stunning Victorian Gothic cathedral, Royal Cornwall Museum, Victoria Gardens and Boscawen Park, as well as a great selection of shops and eateries and boat trips along the Truro River towards Falmouth. The harbour town of Falmouth has the third largest natural harbour in the world, and offers art galleries, museums, two glorious beaches and Pendennis Castle, perched on a hill overlooking the coast and built by King Henry VIII, as well as providing access to the picturesque Roseland Heritage Coast and the National Trust-owned Trelissick Garden, a magnificent estate with floral gardens and woodland walks beside the river. The town of Redruth, picturesque sandy beach of Portreath and the Godrevy Heritage Coastline, accessed along the magnificent South West Coast Path, are all easily accessible from Chacewater. Trevore Farmhouse is a fantastic base for a family-friendly getaway exploring the best attractions and coastline that Cornwall has to offer.
