Ossco is gated from the road with parking for several cars, whilst to the front and side of the house are large stone terraces with teak patio furniture, leading on to huge lawns affording truly breath-taking views of the rugged Atlantic Ocean. The surrounding National Trust coastline is accessible via the nearby public footpath leading down to Lundy Bay, a sheltered cove with sandy beaches at low tide. Polzeath beach is only a short drive away and a favourite spot for surfers of all ability, with beach side cafes and restaurants as well as shops and galleries. Sailing, waterskiing, and inflatable rides take place on the sheltered Camel Estuary with dinghy hire or tuition found at Rock. For an easy day on the beach pack a picnic, a cricket set, and bucket and spades, and head for Daymer Bay - with clear blue bathing water, rock pools galore and some of the best sunsets, it's the perfect spot to linger.
