The property
Positioned in the pretty village of Brymbo in the county of Wrexham in North Wales, is this lovely semi-detached house, 27 Green Road, offering a family of four a welcome retreat. Bring your loved ones to this North Wales self-catered cottage for a break full of country walks, exciting outdoor activities, and visits to historical attractions like Erddig and Chirk Castle. Park up to two cars on the property's off-road parking space before being welcomed in through the front porch, with a bench here and coat hooks to pull off shoes and coats after brisk walks. Continue through to the living/dining room to find a snug setting to unwind in, with a large chaise-longue style sofa to lounge on and an armchair too, with an electric stove-effect fire within the inglenook to add a warming ambiance while you enjoy watching the flat-screen TV. Serve up delicious dishes at the dining table to the rear of the room, sitting beside an exposed, rustic stone wall, with the kitchen in the next room offering a fantastic range of appliances. Washing and clearing up are covered thanks to the washer/dryer and dishwasher, while the chef of the group has all of a fridge/freezer, induction hob, and integrated oven and microwave at their fingertips. The stairs lead you up to the first floor where you can find the delightful double bedroom, with views from the window over the valley and a chest of drawers tucked in a quirky alcove. The second bedroom contains twin beds with storage too, and both rooms are served by the lovely shower room, with a lime green aspect, a walk-in shower and a stylish glass basin. Sit out on the front garden area on warm days, offering a nice spot to enjoy a coffee before beginning the day. Venture into the village to find the local shop around half a mile away, with a couple of pubs and restaurants to enjoy when you want a night off from cooking, and with the centre of Wrexham just a stone's throw away with plenty more choice, there's something for all tastes, with a bus stop at the front gate of the property with links to Wrexham bus station and Llangollen. Close by is the lovely Brymbo Pool, a delightful spot for some peaceful fishing, perfect for any keen anglers, and home to a variety of birdlife so make sure to bring your binoculars too. Some beautiful walks can be found in the area, with the Clwydian Range and Dee Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty presenting plenty of routes for all abilities and ages; popular rambles include the route up Moel Famau, Foel Fenlli and the smaller Bryn Alyn. Pay a visit to the massive 18th century manor of Erddig, owned by the National Trust, it is set within beautiful 12,000-acre gardens which you can explore after taking a tour of the family house. Nant Mill is a wonderful nature area with trails and plenty of wildlife to spot, while Chirk Castle, another National Trust property, makes a great day out, home to a large medieval bulwark and manicured gardens. Spend the day over the border in the Roman city of Chester to enjoy the excellent shopping and selection of restaurants, pubs, and bars, not to mention the exciting attractions of Chester Zoo, Blue Planet Aquarium, Cheshire Oaks shopping village, and the historic City Walls, Roman Amphitheatre and River Dee. The riverside town of Llangollen is another picturesque place to visit, whilst the beaches along the North Wales coast are perfect for sunny days. Enjoy a fun-filled break to North Wales with your family at 27 Green Road.
